Java Developer - Back End, SaaS Products, Hybrid Working (one day a week in the office)

Specialist technology provider, with extensive experience in their sector, working with renowned national organisation providing business critical, Real Time software products, utilising leading-edge technology, encompassing advanced algorithms, data gathering, agile methods and reporting.

About the Role:

The company is looking for an experienced Java Developer for a predominantly Back End role, to develop and enhance their core products, working in a hybrid role (1 day a week in the office of your choice).
• PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE (ONE DAY A WEEK IN THE OFFICE) ,AND APPLICANTS MUST BE IN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DERBY/EAST MIDLANDS OFFICE

Core Skills for the role:
• Strong Java Development background (minimum 5 years), working up to Java 8 and above.
• Experience working in software applications/products-based teams, environment and applications, ideally with a similar SME software applications/product provider, SaaS or start-up.
• Messaging technologies - IBM MQ/Rabbit MQ or similar.
• Containerisation Implementation - Docker/Microservices.
• Eclipse and/or IntelliJ.
• Unit testing/mocking frameworks, ideally JUnit/Mockito/Karma/Jasmine and/or Protractor.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Stand-Up environment and contribute with insights.

Preferred (nice to have) skills:
• Linux, JPA/Hibernate
• Cloud AWS or AZURE
• Relational/No SQL Databases
• Knowledge of React/Angular

Pay range and compensation package:

The company offers a Hybrid working environment working from home and 1 day per week in the Derby office, with a base salary range of £55-£65K, depending on experience and a great benefits package (full details on application), with a genuine emphasis on employee well-being and fostering a great team environment.
