Description

Omni-Serv partners with the passenger airlines industry and carrier services to perform various aviation roles. Currently, we are seeking a Diesel GSE Mechanic to perform and oversee preventative maintenance and immediate repairs on ground equipment including but not limited to belt loader, tug vehicles, dollies, and container loaders.

Compensation: $26.00 per hour (Based on experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k

Shift: 3rd- 3:00 pm- 12:00 am

Job Responsibilities
• Receive work orders and obtain the necessary tools required for the repair
• Inspect parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken components
• Repair hydraulic, electric, and mechanical systems
• Obtain replacement parts, install and/or make repairs as required- repair may require rebuilding as assemblies, systems, etc.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on the equipment.
• Complete work orders and provides status on any “open” work orders
• Ensure safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements
• Must be able to safely operate all vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) -Perform Daily Equipment Checks (DEC’s)
• Maintain records relating to maintenance.

Requirements
• Must have knowledge of diesel/automotive ground support equipment
• Experience with troubleshooting and repair of complex hydraulic and electrical systems required
• Must be able to operate various power and hand tools safely
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. comfortable with bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling various items
• Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
