Are you a Carpenter looking to get off the tools and work in a job where how much you can earn is directly reflected in how hard you work?

Franklin Smith are a recruitment company that specializes in construction across New Zealand and Australia. Within Franklin Smith we have a well established team who focus on skilled labour supply to construction projects across the country.

We are looking for someone who has had more than three years experience on the tools to join our specialist trades team as a carpentry specialist Recruitment consultant. This role would be based in Auckland but have a focus across the North Island.

The Opportunity:

On the job training and support from an experienced team to ensure you are successful
Become an industry expert with a focus on all carpentry related trades across the North Island
Earn an uncapped Industry leading commission structure, a good base salary and use of a company Ute
Take over a very warm desk with existing relationships and an endless supply of quality candidates
Annual trips to then Philippines to carry out trade testing and interviews of carpentry candidates
Annual high performers trip to Bali (this desk will be virtually guaranteed to go each year
Work in a high performance / high trust environment where you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work own week the way you want to.
Entertain clients in a box at the Warriors home games, fishing trips and horse racing events etc

Desired Experience:


Qualified Carpenter or someone with at least three years of on the tools experience in the New Zealand building industry.
Motivated out-going individual who enjoys interacting with a wide range of people on a daily basis
Someone with sales experience or with client management experience would be ideal but not essential.
Someone with strong industry knowledge and who wants to work hard and be rewarded for it
Someone with hunger for success and who want’s to not only make good money but also offer an industry leading service to the New Zealand construction market.
