The mechanical/manufacturing engineer will be responsible for working on all stages of our production cycles, from design and build of standard or custom fixtures, tools and machinery through debug, commissioning, ongoing operation and continuous improvement. To be successful, you should be a highly creative individual with the ability to develop innovative solutions to our manufacturing needs. The top candidate will also have the ability to collaborate with other people and to communicate their ideas in a clear manner, both visually and verbally.

Job Responsibilities:
• Oversight of all manufacturing-related equipment, tools and fixtures from conceptualization through commissioning.
• Develop projections for future needs including technical requirements, costs and timelines.
• Collaborate with others to improve upon existing manufacturing issues and opportunities.
• Work in a team environment to develop manufacturing-related best practices.
• Collaborate with other team members to drive operational efficiency improvements.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (master's preferred).
• Experience in the design of mechanical systems, robotics, controls and PLC programming preferred.
• Experience working in a lean/continuous improvement culture. (Previous experience with the Toyota Production System highly desired).
• Superior computer skills, with solid experience in SolidWorks or similar software. Ability to run dynamic structural simulations and analyze test results.
• Direct experience in serial production of fabricated metal products.
• Creative, analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• The drive and desire to make tomorrow better than today in an ambitious, yet welcoming work environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other creative individuals.
• And other duties as may be assigned.
