Salem Carriers is hiring Diesel Mechanics to repair trucks, trailers, and other vehicles Salem Carriers’ reputation for transportation excellence is built on our commitment to people – especially our shop and fleet maintenance technicians who keep us in motion. CDL Diesel Mechanic job responsibilities include:
• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
• Repair, reline, replace and adjust brakes
• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors
• Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined and other potentially troublesome areas
• Plan work procedures using charts, technical manuals and experience
• Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance ser
