We are seeking a Trainee Build Technician to join our team and help assemble mechanical components and install hydraulic and electrical systems to aircraft undercarriages.

Tasks

The key responsibilities and duties of the Trainee Build Technician include, but are not limited to:
• Assembly of mechanical components and installation of hydraulic and electrical systems to aircraft undercarriages
• Compliance with OEM, legislative, and industry requirements for quality structural aircraft products
• Management of consumable items and quality infrastructure
• Inspection and duplicate inspection of completed assemblies
• Liaison with associated departments and precise work scheduling
• Compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• AOG/On Wing support if required
• Individual and team-based work to meet tight deadlines
• Maintenance of Practical Experience Record (PER) book
• Potential training of personnel based on qualifications and experience

Requirements

The ideal Trainee Build Technician should meet the following requirements:
• Ideally applicants will have served an Aircraft related apprenticeship or equivalent with experience in a similar service industry
• Emphasis placed upon those applicants that have served within an EASA/FAA approved organization
• Experience of Assembly of components
• Extensive amount of experience working in an Airline/ Aerospace related environment
• Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the legislative and quality system requirements
• Good understanding of excel and word
• Knowledge of company health and safety practices
• Evidence of people management skills
• Good communicator - ability to communicate with staff on business and other issues
• Assist in resolving issues that may affect delivery of gears and struts on time
• Must be willing to work shifts
