Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above

May be required consistently to work 12 hour shifts performing construction based labor in varying temperature extremes and conditions
May be required, on occasion, to work up to 16 hours in a single shift
Must be able to climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolds and steel framework
Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job related noises
Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces

Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints insuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, tape measure and conduit benders
Pulls wiring through conduit, assisted by helper
Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps
Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools
Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit- breaker panels, and fastens in place with screws or bolts using hand or power tools
Test continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer and oscilloscope

Wood is currently recruiting for an Electrician Helper in Freeport, TX with experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
