Job Description
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and professional Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at CPA Collective! As a Senior Accountant with us, you'll be at the heart of our mission, ensuring the financial well-being of our diverse range of clients. We're looking for someone with a proven track record in managing accounting functions, preparing top-notch financial reports, and leading a team. The ideal candidate loves entrepreneurs and a variety of industries! As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of multiple business clients.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
• Manage multiple books of monthly/accounting clients.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
• Oversee and manage daily accounting tasks, including financial reporting and general ledger maintenance for multiple clients.
• Train and supervise junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance in their work.
• First level reviewer of general ledger workpapers.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Managing and coaching staff accountants.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and QBO experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ public accounting experience with in the last 10 years.
• CPA or EA required.
• QBO Certified is a plus.
• E-commerce, Etsy, and online business experience a major plus.
• Understanding of business tax regulations and compliance a plus with the ability to research state and local business filing requirements.
• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions.
• Strong understanding of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and integration with other accounting software (i.e. Shopify, Bill.com, Divvy, PayPal, Expensify, TaxJar, Stripe, etc.).
• Excellent time management, time-tracking, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Team Player with a CAN-DO approach to life and work!
• Expert problem-solving and solution-finding in accounting puzzles.
• Proficiency in financials and general ledger experience.
• Proactive with a demonstrated ability to manage tasks from start to finish.
• Technologically adept and able to adopt new software tools.
• Detail oriented and strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, analytical, research, problem solving, project and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task, effectively communicate, and develop strong relationships with clients and co-workers.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Keen attention to detail and demonstrated active listening skills.
• Base competency in tax returns, sales tax and payroll a plus, as well as working with small businesses.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
