Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes and optimal use of resources. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, logistics, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Duties
• Manage and supervise all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
• Implement and maintain effective warehouse management systems to optimise workflow and productivity.
• Oversee transportation management systems to ensure timely receiving of goods.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for all warehouse processes to ensure compliance with business processes.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
• Identify areas for continuous improvement within the warehouse operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Manage profit loss statements related to warehouse operations, identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements
• Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and transportation management systems.
• Familiarity with logistics processes and shipping/receiving operations.
• Experience with forklift operation is preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement in business processes.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: £37,500.00 per year
