Job description: Walkenhorst's is a retail and wholesale supplier of correctional facilities throughout the country. We are looking for an in-person accounts payable specialist to join our team and take charge of daily A/P tasks.

Tasks include:
• Reconciling purchase receipts with vendor invoices and processing purchase invoices
• Processing daily payables checks and EFTs
• Tracking payables to ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner
• Reconciling vendor statements and responding to vendor inquiries
• Working with purchasing and receiving departments to ensure that invoices are paid correctly and pricing is correct
• Filing and organizing accounting records
• Performing additional data entry and office tasks as needed

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting including accounts payable
• Very strong Microsoft Office skills, most importantly Excel
• Must be extremely detail oriented and very organized
• Strong written and spoken communication skills; must be able to clearly communicate with other departments and vendors.
• Willingness and ability to learn new accounting software
• Ability to independently prioritize payables and job tasks efficiently
• Pre-employment drug screen and background checks are required

This position is full time, Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM. Benefits include paid holidays, medical, dental, and 401(k).

Expected salary: $22 - 26 per hour
