Wood / CNC Machinists Wanted.

Based between Southampton and Fareham.

Full-time Temporary to Permanent Opportunity.

45-Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm.

£14-Per Hour (Depending on Experience Hourly Pay Rate Could Be Higher).

You will need your own transport to get to site, no public transport links available.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of CNC machinery to produce precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work with a variety of wood materials. The Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Duties:
• Operate and maintain machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Assemble components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various machining tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, always adhering to safety protocols.

Skills:
• Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery operations.
• Experience with wood machining is essential.
• Ability to grind, assemble, and build components accurately.
• Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

You must be eligible to work in the UK as a permanent employee.
