New Vacancy - Underwriter - Life, Critical Illness & Income Protection

Remote / Hybrid

I am currently recruiting for a leading Insurer who are seeking an Underwriter to join their growing team.

My client is looking for an experienced Medical/Life Underwriter with at least 5+ years experience who has experience Underwriting Life, Critical Illness and Income Protection. The ideal candidate will have strong connections with Re-insurers and Adviser firms. This role can be worked out of the London, Stockport or Bournemouth office on a hybrid basis or can also be worked remotely.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate applications based on the companies underwriting principles and standards
• Assist and guide brokers in navigating the underwriting process for applications
• Coordinate with re-insurers to ensure smooth placement of business
• Provide training to sales teams on underwriting procedures
• Approve applications from junior underwriters
• Contribute ideas to enhance underwriting and service offerings
