Kitchen Helper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. In this role, you will support the kitchen staff in various tasks related to meal preparation and food service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts while ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Support cooks during meal preparation by providing assistance as needed.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene and sanitation are maintained.
• Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to supervisors.
• Participate in catering events or special functions as required.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

Skills
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Basic culinary skills, including meal preparation techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
• A passion for the food industry and a desire to grow within the culinary field.

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• No weekends
