Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled AI/ML Expert with 3-4 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and optimize AI and machine learning models to tackle real-world challenges, particularly in agriculture, water, climate and biodiversity. This role is an opportunity to work on impactful projects that improve lives and promote sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to address the challenges of agriculture, water management and climate change.
• Process and analyze large datasets ranging from geospatial, IoT sensors and ground collected to extract meaningful insights.
• Collaborate with domain experts to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Fine-tune and optimize algorithms to enhance accuracy and performance.
• Develop end-to-end ML pipelines, including data pre-processing, model training, validation, and deployment.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML and explore their applications to drive innovation.
• Document processes, models, and results to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
• Contribute to the development of AI-powered platforms and tools for rural development through natural resources management.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related fields.
• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions.
• Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or other relevant languages.
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with data pre-processing, feature engineering, and handling large datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of ML Ops practices is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in working in any of these disciplines- agriculture, environmental science, remote sensing.
• Familiarity with geospatial data and tools (e.g., QGIS, GDAL) is an advantage.
• Background in AI ethics and fairness considerations.
