Job Opportunity: IT Technician (Temp to Perm)
Location: Witham (Moving to Colchester, Easter 2026)
Full-Time (37 hrs/week)
We are looking to recruit an IT Technician to join our Trust’s Central Services Team. This is a temp-to-perm position, based at our Witham office, with plans to move to Colchester in Easter 2026.
About The Role
You will support IT across our Academies, providing first-line technical support, troubleshooting, and helping with Google Workspace and network administration. Travel between Trust schools is required, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential (mileage reimbursed).
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support to students and staff
• Troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software
• Manage Google Workspace accounts and settings
• Assist with network administration and security
Requirements
• Strong IT knowledge (experience in schools is a bonus)
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Enhanced DBS required
