Construction Helper Driver

The Construction Helper Driver works as a team on several residential remodel projects at a time. To ensure a successful project, the Construction Helper must have a good attitude, be self-motivated, and must communicate well with the team.

As a Construction Helper, you will be providing basic supportive tasks for construction tradespeople. This includes driving the company truck and 13' trailer.

Responsibilities:
• Must have experience with driving a truck and 13' trailer
• Drive company truck with 13’ dump trailer to multiple jobsites around Orange County
• Cleaning jobsite from construction debris
• Loading dump tailer and hauling to dumps
• Dump runs to various dumps including some recycle dumps
• Pick up supplies from Home Depot and deliver to jobsites
• Pick up window and doors from manufacturers and deliver to jobsites
• Must be comfortable working in the field all day. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Cleans and hauls trash and sweeps to clean up at job completion.
• Spanish speaking not required but is a plus
• Load/Unload materials, tools and other equipment
• Set up equipment, layout tools as needed
• Assist in lifting, positioning and securing materials and work pieces during installation
• May operate hand and power tools
• At the end of the day, helpers remove all debris, pack up tools, put away any unused materials. Helper also keeps debris away from active worksite throughout the day, to ensure the safety of workers moving about the area
• Ability to work at different heights
• Assist in light construction if necessary
• Some specialized tasks may require on-the job training
• Use equipment, depending on the jobsite/assignment
• Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Able to lift light to heavy objects
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, dedication
• Ability to show up on time
• Reliable transportation
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Must have experience with driving a truck and 13' trailer

· Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to prioritize assignments

· Valid and current California Driver’s License

· Solid verbal and written communication skills

· Must have excellent organizational and time-management skills

· Must be a team player

· Ability to function well in a fast paced and busy environment
