Overview

An accountant role working for a well-established independent accountancy firm based in Derby.

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who is AAT qualified and working towards their ACCA/ACA qualification OR someone who is nearing completion of their AAT.

A minimum of 5/10 years' UK Accountancy Practice experience is required. Good knowledge of accounting software would also be preferable.

The work will be predominantly property related and the ideal candidate will be working with Landlords, developers, builders and letting agents.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Statutory Accounts for small and mid-sized companies.

• Reconciliation of statements

• Reconciling redemption, remortgaging, and purchases of properties

• General Bookkeeping duties for clients.

• Management of VAT and capital allowances

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 5/10 years' experience in UK Accountancy Practice.

• AAT qualified or late stage AAT and progressing with ACCA or ACA qualification.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Experience with software packages such as; Iris, Xero, Dext & Bright accountancy Manager
