Sr. Accountant

Job description
We are seeking a Sr. Accountant/Controller to join our team in the real estate industry, specifically focused on sales and leasing, in El Paso, Texas. As a Sr. Accountant/Controller, you will be tasked with handling a variety of accounting duties, including full-cycle accounting, payroll, collection of invoices and payments, and quarterly taxes. You will be expected to use software such as Sage 50 and QuickBooks for these tasks.Responsibilities:• Oversee the entire accounting cycle to ensure accuracy and efficiency• Handle payroll duties while being aware of the Davis-Bacon Wage Determination for our 50 employees• Take charge of the collection of all invoices and payments to maintain a steady cash flow• Prepare and submit quarterly taxes to comply with legal requirements• Utilize accounting software, such as Sage 50 and QuickBooks, to organize and maintain financial data• Conduct account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data• Manage the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up to date• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting• Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting• Prepare financial statements to provide a clear understanding of the company's financial position.
