Innovative Fashion Designer

• Childrenswear Design Expert Wanted:

We are seeking a highly skilled Childrenswear Design Expert to join our design team at Solomon Page. This role offers the ideal candidate a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the creation of innovative and high-quality baby and children's apparel using watercolor hand-painting techniques.

This position is based in-office 3 days per week, with convenient access to public transportation from New York to Connecticut.

The estimated salary range for this role is $+0,000 - $120,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop collections of children's apparel from concept to production.
• Create original designs and patterns that reflect our brand aesthetic, direction, and strategy.
• Develop artwork from drawing to hand-painting and digital rendering to execute prints.
• Present designs and concepts to senior leadership, incorporating feedback to refine the final collection.
• Collaborate with Merchandising and Product Development to ensure designs are feasible for production and meet timeline requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in childrenswear design.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and fit standards.
• Experience with CPSC regulations a plus.
