Key Responsibilities:

Security Policy Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect sensitive patient and healthcare data in compliance with industry standards and regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and others.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Conduct regular risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization’s data from potential breaches or threats.Ensure the organization’s information security practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, and oversee periodic audits to verify compliance.Lead the response to security incidents, investigate breaches, and coordinate with relevant departments to address vulnerabilities and mitigate damages.Perform regular security audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments to ensure the continuous effectiveness of security controls.Work closely with IT and development teams to implement security best practices, manage security tools and technologies, and ensure secure network architecture and system configurations.Develop and conduct security awareness training programs for employees to ensure understanding of data protection practices, phishing risks, and the importance of maintaining cybersecurity.Evaluate and manage the security risks posed by third-party vendors, ensuring they comply with the organization’s security policies and regulations.Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, detailing the organization’s information security posture, incidents, risks, and ongoing improvement initiatives.Ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of critical data by continuously monitoring systems, identifying security threats, and implementing robust data protection strategies.
