We are seeking experienced Journeyperson and Apprentice Ironworkers for the exciting LNG construction project in Squamish BC. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor/Bird General Partnership team (LB LNG) who collaboratively pride themselves on safety. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating in accordance with quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

Stick build steel erection for structural steel
Bolt up and impacting
Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the lay out of work
Position steel units, align holes, and insert temporary bolts while checking alignments and joining steel parts
Heavy lift, rigging and setting of building modules
Working at heights up to 75ft
Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following the projects high standards for safety and quality
Requirements

Must possess a Journeyperson Ironworker certification or be a registered apprentices with a recognized provincial training authority
Successful completion of pre-employment drug & ******* testing
Must have a valid Driver's License and clear 3-year driver's abstract
Valid Fall protection ticket
CSTS-2020 or Site Ready BC
Work Conditions:

Experienced applicants that reside in Squamish or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
14 days on / 7 days off rotational shift, 10-12 hour work days
Camp based accommodation provided
Travel allowance / flights provided from approved locations
Extended Health Benefits provided by CLAC
Compensation

$35.44 - $43.16
This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.

Additional Information

Woodfibre Management Ltd, a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, is spearheading the Woodfibre LNG Project, a proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility currently in the pre-construction phase. Situated near Squamish, British Columbia, on the site of a former pulp mill, the project is a collaboration between Woodfibre LNG and Pacific Canbriam Energy, both subsidiaries of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited. Notably, the project has secured environmental approvals from the B.C. and Canadian governments, as well as from the Squamish Nation. This initiative, recognized as the first-ever environmental approval by an Indigenous people in the absence of a treaty, highlights Woodfibre's commitment to responsible and inclusive development. The facility aims to leverage low-emission Canadian natural gas, meeting high demand in countries transitioning from coal to natural gas for its environmental benefits. Through the use of renewable hydro-electricity, the project strives to become the world's lowest-emission LNG export facility.
