We are seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. Accountants can expect to work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.
To ensure success, Accountants should be prompt, honest detail-oriented, professional, and analytical. Top candidates will have excellent presentation skills with the ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative data to decision-makers.
Accountants are those professionals who are engaged by organizations or individual clients to examine accounts, provide financial advice and manage the administration of the accounts.
They usually give financial advice to the clients that range from big or multinational organizations to small businesses.
The accountants make sure that people are aware of the taxes which they owe, about the tax forms.
Make sure of the amount being well spent, determine the inefficiency in spending and also figure out various ways to improve the revenue.
Accountant Responsibilities:
· Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
· Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities.
· Maintaining accurate financial records.
· Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
· Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
· Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
· Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary
· Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, GST, TDS and other reports
· Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis
· Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
· Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
· Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures
· Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
· Document financial transactions by entering account information
· Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
· Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
· Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
· Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
· Secure financial information by completing database backups
· Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions
· Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
· Provide technical support and advice on management
· Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
· Maintains the general ledger.
· Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
· Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
· Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
· Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
· Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
· Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
· As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Provide input into department's goal setting process
· Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
· Plan, assign, and review staff's work
· Support month-end and year-end close process
· Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
· Communicate effectively with clients, employees & management
· Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel
· Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries
· Examining expenses submitted by employees & Vendors
· Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable
· Analyzing data to understand where the company is generating and losing revenue
· Examining the proficiency of the software programs used to organize data
· Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client/employee’s issues that arise
· Preparing or managing accounts and tax returns.
· Play a hand in payroll administration and manage the expenditure of the organization.
· Responsible for auditing the financial information.
· Gather and present the reports, budgets, financial statements and business plans.
· Analyze the accounts of the organization and business plans.
· Contribute towards an efficient working of the organization and ensure the awareness of the company of its financial condition.
· Handle the negotiation by managing the terms of deals made in business and other such moves or agreement made with clients or organizations.
· Manage colleagues by monitoring their work and help with their workload in order to increase efficiency by meeting the deadlines.
Accountant Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
· CA certification (Additional)
· Special licenses or certification may be required.
· 3+ years accounting experience
· Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
· Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.
· Ethical behavior.
· Expertise with QuickBooks
· Extensive knowledge of Indian GAAP
· Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
· Additional experience in Audit and International accounting
· Highly detail-oriented
· Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
· Awareness of business trends
· Experience with creating financial statements
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
