Park Place Seniors Living owns and operates a network of seniors’ care homes across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. We are committed to providing exceptional care and service to our residents and their families.
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Controllers, this role plays a key part in supporting our finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Process a high volume of vendor invoices and payments accurately and efficiently
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or overdue accounts
Prepare and issue monthly rent invoices; apply and track incoming payments
Complete monthly bank reconciliations
Support banking functions in collaboration with site administrators
Maintain and organize financial filing systems
Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and other administrative duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
Solid understanding of accounting principles
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Strong customer service orientation
Experience with both accounts payable and receivable
Creative problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Experience in property management, real estate development, or healthcare services is an asset
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems is preferred

Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including site teams and senior management
Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, auditors, and health authority contacts
Remain composed under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
Location: South Vancouver (Head Office)
Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried
