Interior Design Assistant
About the Position:
We are seeking an Interior Design Assistant to support our team with design-related tasks. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of interior design principles, proficiency in design tools, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. They should be able to work effectively with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist senior designers in creating 2D drawings, 3D renders, and layouts using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, and measurements
• Source furniture, fabrics, and decor based on the design brief and budget
• Prepare presentations, BOQs, and documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors under supervision
• Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in interior design
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field
• Proficiency in design tools: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office (Revit is a plus)
• Strong creative and visualization skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
• Internship or freelance experience in residential, commercial, or retail design
• Knowledge of sustainable materials and practices
• Basic understanding of local building codes and regulations
