Job description
Senior Interior Designer A Senior Interior Designer is responsible for producing high quality project design deliverables in both FF&E and construction documents. They can work on any/all phases of development including Predesign, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration (Execution). They report to the company Director and lead junior designers and project managers on tasks and deliverables and work directly with them to ensure the facilitation of a project's completion: on-time, on/under-budget, and meets October's quality standards. Requirements: ● Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture ● Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (Internships won't count) ● Expert level knowledge of softwares like AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup. Vray is good, but not a must. Knowledge of AI platforms such as Midjourney will get you bonus points.

● EXCELLENT communication skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English. ● Good hand-sketching skills are relevant ● MUST take pride in self-presentation and their work. Confidence. Maturity. Integrity.

Their specific roles and responsibilities shall include (but not be limited to) the following: Designing: ● Consistently bringing great, fresh ideas to the team that are project appropriate, captures the look and attitude and articulate why they feel it meets the needs. ● Knows how to develop vignettes and hand sketches of architectural and FF&E ideas that work in the space and meet intended design goals and then articulates why concepts work to the team, by using sound logical reasoning that is convincing. ● Has a well-developed eye for scale and balance, designing elements that fit the space for maximum impact. ● Can differentiate the needs of different 'styles' and 'looks' and deliver those styles without letting personal preferences impact choices. ● Regularly follows trends in Residential Design so that own work and ideas are of an ‘International’ caliber as well as sophistication level. Construction Documents: ● Independently and as a team, can take an approved set of Schematic Design documents, which include a conceptual space plan, furniture plan, key area RCP and key elevations and then move forward to develop a final set of production documents that are contractor/vendor specific. ● Finished Elevations with millwork, outlets, wall sconces, cabinetry, specialty finishes and treatments noted, tagged and indicated in a way that is clear for construction and fabrication. ● Finished RCP with ceiling materials, treatments and heights clearly called out, detailed and dimensioned where needed. ● Lighting that the layout has been designed in a way that is well located for drama, highlighting and special effects, task, and convenience of usage and operations and that is also designed to meet energy codes and project budget. ● Knowledge of types of lighting, applications, energy requirements, lamping and appropriate light spread. ● Skilled at researching finished materials and learning about their required applications as well as installation requirements so that the information can be noted in depth on the drawings. ● Can analyze photos and sketches of cabinetry and millwork and determine fabrication technique: then draw comprehensive details and sections so it can be fabricated with few questions from the fabricator achieving the desired effect. Team Management/Training/Mentoring: ● Keeps open communication with all team members, monitoring work, lending feedback, redlining corrections and reiterating/teaching the approved processes and procedures that are to be followed. ● Regularly reviews and checks sets of their team deliverables for accuracy, efficiency and thoroughness ensuring the team is delivering a high-quality product. ● Leads team meetings to ensure all team members are participating and lending feedback. Motivates them and pushes them to bring ideas and solutions to the table. ● Demonstrates a highly organized and systematic approach to producing a project. Understands the necessity to keep team and project tasks lists updated and complete. ● Willingly take on the role of “Subject Matter Expert” in those areas that s/he is highly versed in (e.g. “CAD Guru”) ● Act as a positive role-model to others and support the Team/Firm Culture ● Holds team and individuals accountable to deliver upon commitments Personal Traits: ● Mature and well-balanced individual. Job description
As a Junior ID you will prepare proposal presentations (including Canvas 3D and BOQ) for booking stage and sit through the Welcome calls between Customer and Principal Designer and capture the entire discussion and customer requirements. You will raise the request for Site Measurement and prepare the KWS line drawings for Validation. You will coordinate with Principal Designer and Quality Surveyor to determine what all can be pitched to the Client in both

Modular and non-modular services.

Reponsibilities :

- Visits the site for Design initiation along with the printouts of DKO presentation, DKO doc and all Canvas wall elevations

During Design Kick-off :

- Takes note of the changes discussed during the DKO presentation.
- Captures the scope of non-modular services in coordination with the QS personnel.
- Capture design inputs from the Customer.
- Prepare MoMs and provide it to the PD, who shares the same with the client.
- Prepares Canvas 3D and BOQ, basis the discussion with Client during DKO and the design inputs collected.

During Design Meeting at EC :

- Incorporate all design inputs taken during EC walk-through in Canvas and get final 3D.
- Prepare MoMs along with latest BOQ + 3D screenshots + date & time of Sign-off meeting and shares with the PD.
- Prepare KWS production drawings needed for final validation and PO raising
- Prepare 3D renders for the design prepared (as per Client requirement).
- Prepare the final sign-off document and get it reviewed by the PD.
- Visit the site whenever project needs designer intervention.

External Skills And Expertise

Requirements :

15 years of Academics | Relevant Interior Design background.

6 months to 2 years of relevant experience.
