Job description
Our client is looking to recruit a Junior iOS Engineer to join their expanding team, this is an exciting opportunity to work in a company who are a recognised digital health leader in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). They produce game changing technology that allows a smartphone or tablet device to measure blood pressure, pulse and breathing rate simply by a patient looking into the device's built-in camera for 40 seconds.

Duties include:

As a Junior iOS Engineer, you will support the development and maintenance of high-quality iOS applications within our MedTech product range. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and user-centric mobile solutions. This is a great opportunity to grow your technical skills, receive mentorship, and make a meaningful impact in healthcare technology.

Development and Coding:

Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of iOS applications using Swift.

Collaborate with the team to implement new features and resolve bugs.

Ensure code quality by writing clean, maintainable code and following best practices.

Testing and Debugging:

Assist in writing unit and integration tests to ensure robust app performance.

Participate in the debugging process and help troubleshoot issues in development or production environments.

Collaboration with Team Members:

Work closely with senior engineers and designers to implement UI/UX features and ensure a seamless user experience.

Collaborate with the product manager to align on product requirements and ensure high-quality releases.

Continuous Learning:

Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in iOS development and MedTech.

Take advantage of learning opportunities, including mentorship from senior engineers and access to company-provided resources.

Profile

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Adaptability: Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and processes quickly.

Collaboration: Effective teamwork and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on writing quality code and ensuring user satisfaction.

Desirable:

Some professional experience or relevant internship in iOS development is beneficial but not required.

A portfolio of iOS projects or apps.

Technical Expertise: Basic experience in iOS development, including familiarity with Swift and Xcode. Understanding of mobile app development life cycles.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues with guidance and contribute to problem resolution.

Testing: Awareness of testing methodologies, including unit testing frameworks such as XCTest.
