We are looking for a Junior Power BI Analyst to join our team and support our Power BI reporting suite, working closely with our Power BI Developer to drive data-driven decision-making.

About the Role

As a Power BI Junior Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our reporting suite, troubleshooting issues, performing SQL maintenance, and supporting business analytics and modelling. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enhance your technical skills while making a tangible impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities
• Support and maintain the Power BI reporting suite, including manual updates.
• Troubleshoot faults, investigate data issues, and escalate them as required.
• Assist in the simplification process, including performance analysis and documentation.
• Develop new reports and dashboards, using SQL to extract data from the warehouse (with guidance).
• Collect and clean data from various internal and external sources.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and anomalies.
• Create compelling visualisations and reports to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide support and advice to Power BI users, challenging requirements where necessary.
• Deputise for the Power BI Developer when needed.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• A bachelor’s degree in computing, mathematics, statistics, or another numerate discipline, OR relevant work experience with A-levels or a BTEC in a related field.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new challenges.

Desirable Skills & Experience:
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• SQL skills for querying databases.
• Familiarity with data modelling and working with large datasets.

Pay: £27,000.00 per year
