• Job Summary:

The Junior Safety Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Safety Manager in overseeing and implementing the safety protocols and regulations on the worksite. This role involves monitoring site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and promoting a culture of safety among all employees. The Junior Safety Supervisor will also be responsible for identifying potential hazards, conducting safety inspections, and participating in safety training sessions.
• Key Responsibilities:

- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the worksite to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

- Risk Assessment: Assist in conducting risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to minimize risks and hazards.

- Incident Reporting: Document and report any safety incidents or near misses to the Safety Manager. Assist in investigating incidents to determine causes and prevent future occurrences.

- Safety Training: Support the Safety Manager in organizing and conducting safety training sessions for site workers. Ensure that all workers are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.

- Emergency Preparedness: Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response plans. Ensure that emergency equipment is readily available and functional.

- Safety Audits: Assist in internal safety audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

- PPE Compliance: Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on site and ensure all employees are using the necessary protective gear as per safety guidelines.

• Qualifications:

- Knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with safety in blasting and painting environments.

- First Aid and CPR certification.
