Junior Technician

The Peninsula London is seeking a Junior Technician to assist Engineers, Technicians, Painter Decorators, and Carpenters in daily maintenance and repairs of all Mechanical & Electrical equipment, fixtures, and fittings throughout the Hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform Engineering maintenance tasks in a timely manner to a good standard, adhering to established policies, procedures, maintenance programs, and operation schedules.
Participate in daily team pre-shift briefings to ensure seamless communication and optimal operating performance.
Monitor and control operating parameters of guest rooms and public area building services systems to ensure high efficiency of utilization. Report any deviations from permitted parameters to the Director of Engineering and/or Assistant Director of Engineering without delay.
Coordinate with engineers and external contractors as necessary, and interact with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a similar environment.
Trade-certified or NVQ level Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Good understanding of building services and relevant rules and regulations.
Effective communication skills.
Good problem-solving skills, organized, and detail-oriented.
Fluent English communication proficiency.
Able to fulfill night shift duties based on operational needs.
