Junior Website Developer (WordPress + Shopify) Job (Remote)

About the job:
Key responsibilities:

1. Develop custom WordPress themes and templates using HTML, CSS, and PHP.

2. Use Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Gutenberg or similar tools to enable dynamic content updates.

3. Ensure websites are responsive, fast, and optimized for mobile and desktop.

4. Integrate with Shopify for simple e-commerce setups or custom storefronts (if applicable).

5. Build CMS dashboards for clients to easily update site content including banners, logos, product listings, and more.

6. Collaborate with designers to convert designs into dynamic web pages.

7. Follow best practices for SEO, accessibility, and performance.

8. Debug and fix issues as needed.

Other Requirements:

1. Experience building websites using WordPress and custom themes.

3. Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Elementor, Gutenberg or similar plugins.

4. Understanding of dynamic content and avoiding hard coded elements.

5. Basic knowledge of PHP and WordPress hooks/templates.

6. Optional: Experience with Shopify, Liquid, and theme customization.

7. Experience with version control (Git) is a plus.

8. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Bonus skills (nice to have):

1. Experience with WooCommerce or Shopify for e-commerce sites.

2. Understanding of website analytics and tag management.

3. Experience working with a headless CMS or API-driven content.

4. Basic JavaScript or jQuery for interactivity.
