About Us:
Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) is a maximum-security remand facility based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Prisoners on remand are alleged offenders who were not bailed when charged with a crime and are awaiting the outcome of their court case. The Metropolitan Remand Centre is a +54-bed maximum-security facility for unsentenced male offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice, and Community Safety.
About the Role:
This position requires direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Determination.
Some of your duties will include:
Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, working parties and reference groups as required.
Preparing routine correspondence and reports.
Providing a range of high quality, confidential and efficient administrative services and support to the Prison Intelligence Unit (PIU).

About You:
As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
Well developed computer literacy.
Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
Demonstrated experience in or understanding of working within a correctional environment.
