Job Description:

The Salesperson will be based in Ranchi and will handle the complete sales process starting from prospecting, application study, offering suitable product, negotiation, Sales and payment collection within assigned territory in Ranchi region. The main products in demand in this region are SRD & UD capital equipment, RDD and PSD. Major segment to be handled will be surface and underground mining, aggregate quarries, limestone mining. The person should be a team player and work in co-ordination with aftermarket team and our channel partners. The person will also be responsible for all the activities of the channel partners in the assigned territory.

Ranchi region is known as mining hub and it comprises of the two states Jharkhand and Bihar. Region's major business activity spreads in Coal Subsidiaries CCL, BCCL, NCL, Coal and Iron Ore at Tata Steel, Uranium Corporation India Ltd, Steel Authority India Ltd, Quarry, Road construction and limestone mining for cement.
• We are looking for a Key Accounts Manager or Territory Manager who will take care of Mining & Rock Excavation business from major key customers in Ranchi Region.
• Accountable for assigned sales targets in defined territory with major focus on mining, quarry, road construction and retail segment in the region.
• Clear focus on Key Account customers and associated business development
• Development of new Key Accounts will be an important KPI.
• In addition to above, the person will also be responsible for retail market.
• Grow market share in the given territory by creating new customer base and enhancing existing customer share, without compromising on profitability.
• Identify and focus on untapped area, explore new business opportunity and establish products in the market through introduction of value-based sales concept.
• Preparation of value-based sales proposal, negotiation and freeze the deal for long term rate contracts with existing as well as new customers.
• Induction of new channel partners/stockist to expand the reach, accelerate business with existing channels.
• Gather competitor information, evaluate, and analyse information about the market trend in the industry.
• Establish, develop, and maintain customer relationship and loyalty through visits, telephone calls and correspondence for Retail Customer Management.
• Participate in seminars, exhibitions and contribute to other sales/marketing activities.
• Mapping of business potential, product segmentation and creation of customer database
• Chalk out long-term action plan, review, and chase on a regular basis.
• Effective communication/co-ordination with marketing Team in Pune.
• Keeping control on receivables, especially for retail customers and channel partners.

Qualification, Skills, and Experience:
• Graduate in Mining/Mechanical Engineering from a reputed college and having relevant experience.
• The person should have thorough knowledge of mining and quarrying application.
• The person should be able to speak Hindi and English.

Key competencies required for this role:
• Self-driven personality
• Ability to establish good relationship with customers.
• Ability to handle large key accounts/projects.
• Person should be ready for extensive travel to projects located at remote locations.
• Application knowledge in tunnelling and mining would have an advantage.
