Kitchen Steward

Crowne Plaza Canberra is looking for Part-time Kitchen Stewards to join our team. As a kitchen steward, you will be responsible for the dishwashing area, kitchen cleanliness and the carrying out of set food preparation duties when required.

A little taste of your day to day

Operating dishwashing machinery to wash and sanitise crockery and kitchen implements
Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators, ensuring everything is organized and properly stored.
Assisting the chef and kitchen team in basic food preparation including cutting, peeling, and washing ingredients.
Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.
Use other safety, emergency equipment, plant materials tools and substances provided in the workplace as directed or as required in safety procedures.
Working with kitchen team to provide excellent service to our guests.

What we need from you:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and collaborate effectively with kitchen team and other team members
Exceptional attitude and ‘can do’ mindset
Ability to follow instructions as and take initiative when required
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Must have working rights for Australia
