Hiring Unit:
Department of Biology (Professor Gregor Fussmann)

Position Summary:
Assists with the deployment and maintenance of in-lake and on-land mesocosm tanks.
Assists in the sample collection and processing during field operations.
Assists with the analysis as required (e.g., fluorimetry, zooplankton identification).
Maintains laboratory plankton (e.g. Daphnia) cultures and monitors growth.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Ability to work long hours, and in adverse conditions.
Attention to detail.
Driver's license (valid in Canada).
Education/Experience:
Knowledge of (i.e., coursework in ) ecology and organismal biology.
High School diploma.
Experience with field techniques and research.
First aid trainings and WHMIS an asset.
Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (4) qualifier on a scale of 0-4".
