Your Opportunity:
The DSC Urinalysis Department has an exciting opportunity to join their team. You will experience a fast paced, high volume, well organized, efficient environment with strict quality control guidelines in place. The department relies heavily on team work to meet operational requirements. The major tasks and responsibilities include manual and automated urinalysis testing including microscopic urine analysis, pregnancy and FIT tests, sample preparation for cryoglobulin/cryofibrinogens, performing equipment maintenance, daily Quality Control check, inventory duties, restocking supplies, assist with training new staff, and other assigned duties.

Description:
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:
As Required.

Preferred Qualifications:
High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, strong collaboration skills. Strong team player with the ability to perform duties independently. Experience working as an MLA at DSC Urinalysis within the past 6 months is preferred. Experience within the last 6 months at a high-volume hub lab is preferred. Experience on the following instruments within the last 6 months is preferred: Beckman Coulter iRICELL, Siemens Clinitek, OC Sensor Diana, and Epic/Beaker LIS experience.
