Do you have experience as a laboratory technician and are you looking to further advance your career?

We have two opportunities available to join our laboratory operations team at Hill Labs in both the Food Microbiology and Honey teams.

1. We have a permanent role available for an experienced laboratory technician to join the Food Microbiology team.

We are looking for a preferred candidate that can work Tuesday to Saturday, working 40 hours per week (as per the laboratory team roster). This will likely include some evenings to support the operational needs of the team.

2. The second role available is a 12-month fixed term role, to cover maternity leave, available for an experienced laboratory technician to join the Honey team.

This role will be Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week (as per the laboratory team roster).

As a Technician at Hill Labs, you will have the opportunity to develop within our technician career pathways and advance your skills further within our laboratory operations area.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducting routine lab operational duties
Working closely with the extended team and the Analytical Technology group
Participating in quality system activities including Audits & Method Investigations
Instrument and method troubleshooting; calibration and maintenance of lab equipment

ABOUT YOU

Have a tertiary qualification in science or relevant discipline
Commercial laboratory experience preferred
Sound knowledge and demonstration of ISO 17025 guidelines
Working knowledge of laboratory data analysis software
Self-motivated, team orientated, solution focused with good attention to detail
Advantageous: Experience of instrumental techniques (IRMS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC); Experience in aseptic techniques and/or molecular/PCR testing
