An ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers to problem solve, manage change, resolve employee issues effectively, and ensure regulatory compliance
Solid training / coaching / mentoring skills which build the necessary capabilities to operate in a team environment and grow technical and leadership skill sets
A “Safety First” attitude, and the passion and commitment to proactively foster and promote safe work habits of employees. You ensure proper safety policies and procedures are followed; and you actively participate in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization in the drive towards zero incidents
An ability to uphold the code of conduct.

As the ideal incumbent, you will:

Oversee the efficient operation of the Packaging area
Monitor, record, and analyze equipment issues and work with internal support personnel as needed
Based on information shared at daily team meetings; and on current tracking system; liaison with mechanical and electrical coaches to ensure appropriate actions are taken
Must have a positive attitude while conducting work
Hold accountability for the communication with employees, as well as management
Ensure all HACCP guidelines, rules and regulations are being followed throughout, and ensure proper completion of all required documentation
Develop talent and conduct on the job training with all new employees and ensuring current employees are properly trained in their positions.
Develop the continuous improvement spirit through the support of Lean Sigma principles and Kaizen breakthrough events
SAP, Kronos and WMS experience will be considered an asset
Must be able to work with confidential information and must keep it confidential
Must be able to deal with high pressure situations in a positive way
Must be able to multi-task many items at once
Work closely with management and team members to achieve production goals
Additional duties that may be assigned

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Grade 12 or GED mandatory
Demonstrated leadership skills
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills
Demonstrate our Leadership principles
