We offer our engineers opportunities to be involved in new process and innovations. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer you would work remotely from our office (M3J Technical Services) in Vadodara, Gujarat, India and support our office in Downers Grove, Illinois, USA.

Job Description

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer your primary responsibilities would include:
• Lead mechanical projects and manage a team throughout the project
• Apply sound engineering and machine design principles to design custom engineered equipment
• Create/modify/update mechanical drawings and BOM’s
• Analyze existing designs and provide recommendations for improvements
• Mentor other engineers and designers on best practices for machine design
• Perform independent site inspections and supervise equipment installation
• Participate in brainstorming and design reviews
• Deliver projects on time and within budget
• Work with shop assembly personnel in troubleshooting & debugging of equipment
• Assist in the checking of drawings and analyze tolerance stack ups
• Assist in developing engineering and drafting standards
• Issue and complete ECN’s

Requirements
• BSME or Diploma in ME
• Minimum 5 years’ experience designing custom industrial equipment
• Driven and ambitious personality with attention to detail
• Creative, innovative and forward-thinking approach to engineering design
• Excellent problem solving skills in a team-oriented environment
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding and general fabrication
• Excellent computer skills, including 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred), AutoCAD 2D, Office
• Strong FEA background
• Knowledge and experience with GD&T and ASME Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standards
• Machining/fabrication background is a plus
• Field experience, customer site audits and experience supervising installations is a plus
