How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Lead Non-Functional Quality (NFT) Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating delivery of secure and performant products. You’ll leverage your extensive technical expertise and leadership skills to build quality into products, mentor junior team members, and drive innovation across TSB.

You’ll be a proficient software engineer and have a deep understanding of application architecture and design patterns. You’ll have strong financial services knowledge enabling you to be effective in early product refinement using Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) techniques. As a Lead NFT engineer, you’ll drive continuous improvement and innovation, explore new technology and ways of working to enhance team productivity and efficiency. Furthermore, you’ll work with product owners, application engineers and operations to define specific and targeted test approaches.

What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience of Non-Functional Testing (NFT) e.g. performance, security, accessibility, observability, and resilience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript programming languages.
• Solid understanding of solution architecture, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable and maintainable systems.
• Proven experience with performance tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad and LoadRunner.
• Exposure to mainframe-based applications would be desirable.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Background in scaled agile software delivery.
