Job summary
Schools are integral to our work and vision, with a broad curriculum-linked programme for visiting schools which spans early years, primary, secondary and tertiary education. The zero hours Learning Programme Teacher role mainly consists of delivery of our onsite education sessions, with themes including plant adaptations, evolution, conservation, ecosystems and much more. The role requires you to follow set lesson plans to achieve learning outcomes.
This is a permanent post is based at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and is a zero hours contract, with most of your hours being completed during term time and during our busy periods from March to October.
This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
Job description
Our ideal candidate will have significant experience of teaching in a formal setting or delivering environmental education programmes to pupils from a variety of key stages. You will be required to teach all age groups from early years to key stage 5.
The ideal candidate will have an ability to inspire and engage pupils and teachers with enthusiasm, passion and a friendly manner. You must have excellent interpersonal skills to work successfully within a team and with external stakeholders.
