About The Team
The Legal Accounting team is a group supporting various teams such as FIS Tax, Treasury, and Statutory Accounting. The primary role of this team will be the monitoring and review of current year financials by legal entity.
What You Will Be Doing
• Monitor and analyze balance sheet and income statement variances by legal entity.
• Prepare various analysis reports and detailed schedules to be submitted to corporate/other stakeholders on an ongoing basis
• Meets with organizational unit/department managers to discuss legal entity variances and establish process for effective and timely communication
• Determine proper accounting treatment for various non-recurring intercompany transactions such as dividends paid, dividends received, capital contributions, loans etc.
• Identify and proactively resolve issues that could result in financial misstatements and classification errors at a legal entity level.
• Handle special areas of accounting like cost allocations, stock comp etc
• Handle legal entity mergers/dissolutions or investment transfers
• Application of IFRS/local GAAP in resolving issues
• Manage various ad hoc and regular queries
What You Bring
• CA degree with 2 -3 years of experience
• Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
• Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
• Analytical and statistical examination skills
• Ability to understand and apply learned concepts
• Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
• Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met
• Ability to create spreadsheets and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
