Role : Legal and Compliance - Assistant Manager

Location : Mumbai

Timings : Type : 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (IST)

Responsibilities :
• Drafting and reviewing Commercial / Business Agreements, Technology Agreements, NDAs, Service Agreements, Warehousing contracts, Employment Agreement, Independent Contractor Agreement, Lease and Purchase Agreements, MOUs etc. amongst others.
• Research work on the point of law, interpretations and legal aspects of business transactions / structures.
• Assist in developing SOPs and think strategically to develop efficient compliance processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate transaction discussions / implementation of compliances / SOPs and to direct compliance issues to respective functions for resolution.
• Ensure compliance with the statutory requirements and regulations as per US and Indian laws.
• Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments impacting the business activities, systems and controls and communicate changes to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements and oversee implementation thereof.
• Maintain a central data repository of all agreements, legal documents, investor / investment documentation, compliance data and internal compliance trackers.
• Work with the Legal and Compliance team to prioritize and ensure day-to-day legal needs of all departments are handled in a timely manner.
• Ability to assess, review and develop framework, processes and policies.
• Overview US HR Compliances.
• Develop training material on compliance issues and conduct training for relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and facilitate the process to reduce areas of risk exposure.
• Manage internal compliance audits on a regular basis.
• Any other matters / activities related to any legal, investor and business compliances.

Skill Requirements :
• Ability to prioritize and work with multiple stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, loves to take initiatives, problem-solver, highly detail-oriented.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interface and collaborate effectively with all levels and to keep relevant stakeholders regularly and timely updated.
• Commercial acumen with an ability to understand the business transactions, operations and processes with suitable application of the legal aspects / requirements thereto.
• High standards of integrity, ethics, and professionalism
• Legal research skills, proficiency in word processing and internet research, ability to work in a diverse environment.

Qualification Requirements :
• Qualified LLB, or master's in law.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian Corporate Laws, Companies Act, Contract Act, banking and financial knowledge and experience is an advantage.
• Education and experience in Company Secretarial work will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience within a law firm or corporate legal department
