Qualifications
J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one state
Minimum of 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating engineering, procurement, and construction contracts
Proven experience in handling construction disputes, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution methods

Additionally, the Legal Counsel will oversee construction disputes and risk management
Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of the company's projects
Handle a wide range of legal matters, including contract negotiations, change orders, and risk management
Lead the negotiation and drafting of EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements and ancillary contracts
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with projects, providing guidance on project-specific legal issues, and ensuring that risk management practices are in place
Train project teams to understand, implement, and enforce contractual requirements

An innovative and rapidly growing Renewable Energy company that constructs, developers, and operates utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects throughout North America is looking to grow their legal team by hiring an experienced attorney as their Legal Counsel.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the business by supporting internal teams and advising senior leadership on a variety of legal matters. You will be the lead attorney on drafting and negotiating engineering, procurement, and construction contracts. Additionally, the Legal Counsel will oversee construction disputes and risk management. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of the company's projects.

Responsibilities:
• Handle a wide range of legal matters, including contract negotiations, change orders, and risk management.
• Lead the negotiation and drafting of EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements and ancillary contracts.
