Lenovo is currently seeking a Legal Counsel to join the Lenovo Solutions and Services (SSG) Legal Team, with a focus on new service development. The services development team acts to engage with business stakeholders, follow and influence the services governance process to ensure the timely rollout of compliant scalable services. This role will be responsible for advising the teams on all legal requirements relating to new services and solution development and will report to the Legal Lead of New Services Development to support the creation of new attached services, software and managed services.

Role Responsibilities
• Advise the Services Team on a wide range of regulatory and commercial legal issues
• Provide legal support for Lenovo teams developing new services, software, and solutions
• Assist with the development of new solutions and services to facilitate sales across SSG and oversee their global rollout
• Collaborate with internal and outside counsel, specific subject matter experts, and stakeholders
• Work closely with Lenovos lawyers, as well as services teams in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific
• Work closely with the COE to ensure they have the necessary training, playbooks, and templates when supporting solutions and services from SSG
• Advise the SSG Team on a wide range of regulatory and commercial legal issues
• Engage in issue-spotting and involve legal subject matter experts from the broader corporate-level Lenovo Legal Department
• Work efficiently to supplement internal resources across Lenovos geographies with advice from external sources as needed
• Draft standard templates for new solutions and services
• Collaborate with the COE to establish a template library for all services to ensure they can be easily found and maintained
• Establish a clear engagement process between legal and service development team

Role Requirements
• 8+ years experience corporate/commercial legal work
• Law Degree, JD or equivalent
• Experience advising on the establishment of new solutions and services, SaaS, software development
• Experience in a national or global law firm, or experience as in-house commercial counsel in a global technology company
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability, confidence, and gravitas necessary to advise leadership within the company, exercising sound business and legal judgment
• Ability to anticipate, proactively manage and mitigate legal risks; and effectively advise on risk management and mitigation
• Ability to manage multiple projects, including transactional work and strategic projects, and set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global work environment
