Level 2 Swimming Teacher

We are seeking passionate and dedicated swimming teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to educate children of all ages and skill levels. As a swimming teacher, you will play a crucial role in promoting water safety, developing swimming skills, and fostering a love for swimming among participants.

We provide swimming lessons for children between 3-16 years old, with small class sizes of 4 or 5 children (venue dependant) to allow us to focus on the individual needs of each swimmer.

Lesson plans and resources are available to be used during lessons and can we offer support with ongoing training.

We currently have a following hours available;

Tuesday 4 - 7pm at Everlast Fitness Halifax (HX3 6AB)
Wednesday 3.45 - 6.45pm at Rishworth School (HX6 4RY)
Thursday 4 - 7pm at Everlast Fitness Halifax (HX3 6AB)
Friday 3.45 - 6.45pm at Rishworth School (HX6 4RY)
Friday 4 - 7pm at Everlast Fitness Halifax (HX3 6AB)
Saturday 9.00 - 12.00 Rishworth School (HX6 4RY)
Sunday 9.30am - 1pm at North Huddersfield Trust School (HD2 1DJ)
These hours are starting in September and shifts can be taken individually or as a collective.

Responsibilities

Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
Educate students on water safety practices and swimming techniques.
Assess the skill levels of participants and tailor lessons accordingly to meet their needs.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their swimming abilities
Maintain a clean and organised pool area, ensuring all equipment is safe and functional.
Monitor the progress of students and maintain records of their achievements via writing progress reports every 10 weeks to be sent to parents.
Requirements

Hold a Level 2 in Teaching Swimming (Swim England/STA)
Enhanced DBS Check
Personal insurance (via STA or IOS membership)
A rescue award, or desire to work towards one
