Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an associate lawyer located in South Delhi. The associate lawyer will be responsible for independently managing day to day litigation before the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal, Hon'ble Delhi High Court, Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, District Court and Arbitral Tribunals. The candidate must have the knowledge of IBC, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, The Mediation Act etc. In addition to Code of Civil Procedure and the Indian Evidence Act. The candidate shall also be supporting the senior lawyers in the firm in managing client work, coordinating between different departments of the firm, drafting legal documents and agreements, and conducting legal research.

The ideal candidates will have specialized experience in handling NCLT matters, arbitration proceedings, and civil litigation. They must possess excellent legal acumen, drafting skills, and courtroom confidence, and should be able to handle cases independently while working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1.NCLT and NCLAT Matters:

•Representing clients in insolvency, restructuring, and company law disputes before the NCLT and NCLAT.

•Drafting petitions, replies, and other legal documents for corporate insolvency resolution processes, mergers, and related proceedings.

2.Arbitration:

•Managing domestic and international arbitration cases, including drafting statements of claim, rejoinders, and counterclaims.

•Preparing and presenting arguments before arbitral tribunals.

•Assisting in the enforcement or challenge of arbitral awards.

3.Civil Litigation:

•Drafting and filing pleadings, suits, appeals, and other legal documents for cases in civil courts and High Courts.

•Representing clients in hearings related to property disputes, commercial disputes, and other civil matters.

4.Research and Case Strategy:

•Conducting in-depth legal research and preparing briefs and case strategies.

•Keeping abreast of legal developments, judgments, and amendments relevant to practice areas.

5.Client Management:

•Interacting with clients to understand their needs and providing timely updates on case progress.

•Advising clients on legal strategies and outcomes.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.

•Experience: 3-7 years of hands-on experience in NCLT, DRT, arbitration, and civil litigation.

•Strong drafting skills, including petitions, pleadings, and contracts.

•Proficiency in legal research tools like Manupatra, SCC Online, or Westlaw.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Confidence in representing clients before courts, tribunals, and arbitral forums.

•Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and client expectations.
