Edmonds Compounding Pharmacy & Hearing is looking to hire a full-time pharmacist commencing June 1st. The pharmacy is co-located with PrimeCare Medical Family Practice & Walk-in, Fraser Health Authority's New Canadian & Global Health Clinic as well as the Edmonds Urgent and Primary Care Centre.
We offer all the services of a community based pharmacy in addition to several specialty services including but not limited to: specialty compounding, certified orthopedic bracing & compression sock fitting, medication outreach including daily in-home medication administration & witnessing, medical equipment sale, rental & installation, complimentary hearing aid testing & fitting. We are looking for an effective leader with excellent interpersonal, organizational & leadership skills and a life-long learner. The pharmacy has access to CareConnect and IMMSBC. Knowledge of WinRx software is an asset. Excellent compensation and benefits package, commensurate with experience in addition to monthly performance-based bonuses.
Continuing Education and on site training will be provided in the areas of compounding, bracing and compression therapy, medical equipment, as well as hearing to support the pharmacy's goal of providing comprehensive & integrative wellness solutions for all patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide safe and accurate medication information and pharmacy services including medication reviews, immunizations, medication compounding, and dispensing
Work collaboratively with Pharmacy team to accomplish organizational wide goals as they relate to all aspects of the pharmacy, including all the specialty services
Assist with oversight of the Pharmacy’s Operations including Outreach Program, deliveries, staff schedules, etc.
Provide patients with professional consultation regarding prescription and non-prescription options to maximize patient outcomes & provide excellent service across the continuum of care
Supervise Pharmacy Staff to ensure completion and/or accuracy of work.
Ensure that dispensing of all medications including compounded prescriptions are maintained to the highest quality standards.
Participate in reporting, documenting and follow up of known, alleged and suspected errors with a goal of prevention of future events.
Implement accurate and complete records in compliance with regulations and to ensure protection from audit
Practice at the top of pharmacist scope (innovation, excellence)
Early adoption of and appropriate implementation of new practice opportunities
Injection authority, Medication Reviews, Adaptations, etc.

Requirements:
Full Practicing Pharmacist License in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
Injection Certification
Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems (Win Rx Software preferred)

Salary: $50-60 per hour plus 20% clinical service bonus

Oversee preparation of medications and assist in diagnosing medical problems.
Provide information about diseases and conditions to patients and their families.
Develop treatment plans for any particular medical problem.
Order lab work or x-rays as necessary to diagnose a patient's problem.
Advise patients as to the proper use of their medications.
Monitor a patient's medication instructions to ensure compliance.
Document all drug interactions, prescriptions, and important instructions for each patient.

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
