Overview

ATCO Frontec is seeking a reliable and motivated Line Cook to support kitchen operations at the Canadian Forces Military Staff College in North York. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality service to military personnel, including serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.

Wage: $19.55 hourly


Responsibilities

Ensure meals are prepared and served to the highest standard.
Support kitchen operations in a professional and efficient manner.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and knowledgeably.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of food and equipment.
Maintain a clean and tidy workstation at all times.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Completion of a college or other post-secondary programme in cooking.
Valid Food Safety Certificate required.
2–3 years’ experience as a line cook in the hotel or restaurant industry.
Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment.
Must be based in the Toronto area.

The successful candidate will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing, as well as obtain criminal background and government security clearance as part of the hiring process.
