Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring that our dishes meet high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a passion for cooking, along with a commitment to food safety and hygiene practices.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and guidelines to create high-quality meals.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and properly stored.
Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
Support the head chef in menu planning and development as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
A passion for cooking and helping others enjoy delicious meals.
