Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

(Ideally should not be

more than 3-5)

1. Expertise in Linux based operating system - Redhat

2. Certified Linux Redhat Administrtor

3. Working knowledge of standard Linux backup and recovery tools

4. Working knowledge of standard Linux security Methodologies, hardening procedures, and best practices

Good-to-Have

1. Evaluate, design, develop and maintain server, storage, and other IT strategies for the enterprise, and all supporting products and services.

2. Hands on experience setting up servers and all related supporting infrastructure (backup systems, patching framework, mail relays, etc)

3. Implements policies for the appropriate use and management of the Cloud compute resources 4. Good Communication skill with knowledge on Red hat Linux, SUSE Linux, Oracle Linux

SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1 Plan and conduct installations, transitions, upgrades of Linux running in a VMWARE environment

2 Analyze server and storage characteristics (e.g., CPU behavior, latency, transmission speeds, packet loss and throughput), triage and troubleshoot problems.

3 Excellent communication & documentation skills, both in technical and non-technical arenas

4 Strong troubleshooting skills on core ESXi features, Shielded VM Management, Virtual workload provisioning

5 Working experience on Creating VMs, templates on Hyper-V
